Seasonal SEO: the UK searches you should be ready for months early

A new page usually needs six to twelve weeks to gain traction, so seasonal pages must be published well before demand arrives. Boiler and heating searches climb from September, Christmas party and gifting searches from October, home improvement from February, and garden, roofing and wedding work from March.

A rough UK calendar

  • September–October: boilers, heating, gutters, damp, insulation.
  • October–November: Christmas bookings, party menus, gift guides, festive opening hours.
  • January: fitness, accounting and tax deadlines, decluttering, new-year offers.
  • February–April: home improvement, driveways, decorating, wedding suppliers.
  • May–August: gardens, roofing, air conditioning, events and holiday cover.

How to work it

  1. Publish the page a full quarter before the season starts.
  2. Keep the same URL every year and update it rather than creating a new one — the page keeps its history.
  3. Add the offer and dates to your Google Business Profile posts as the season opens.
  4. Review last year's enquiry data to decide which season is worth the effort.
