Short-form video for local businesses: what to post and how often

For a local business, short-form video works best as a simple repeatable system: three to five posts a week, filmed on your phone while you work, split between showing the work being done, answering common customer questions, and showing the people behind the business. The views only matter if the profile and website behind them make it obvious how to book.

The four post types that carry a local account

  • The work itself. Before and after, the messy middle, the finished result.
  • The question you're asked every week, answered in 30 seconds.
  • The people. Faces build more trust locally than any logo.
  • The proof. A happy customer, a finished job, a busy Saturday.

How often

Three to five a week beats one polished video a month. Consistency is what teaches the algorithm — and your local audience — that you exist. Batch-film on a quiet day so posting never depends on inspiration.

Turning views into enquiries

  1. Say where you are. "Huddersfield" in the caption and on screen filters your audience to buyers.
  2. One clear next step in the bio, pointing at a page that converts.
  3. Answer every DM and comment quickly — that's where the money is.
  4. Repost the winners. A video that worked will work again in three months.
Social media management

We run the whole system — filming plan, edits, posting and replies.
